70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau

This coming Tuesday 27th January 2015 is the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Nazi death camp, where mass slaughter of human beings was undertaken on a scale beyond human comprehension.

The horror of this place stands as a stark reminder of what Europeans – a so-called civilised people, products of that period known as The Enlightenment – are capable of. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a direct product of The Enlightenment.

Now would not be an appropriate moment to write a long essay. All I will do is restrict myself to observing that Europeans have not learned the lessons of Auschwitz and will do this again. It is part of European culture. All it takes is the creation of the right social, economic and political conditions to trigger them into action – the conditions that Europeans and their culture are now creating. And western science, with its perverse ideology, will be at the forefront of creating the next holocaust.

The sword wielding, goose stepping, hatred preaching extremists are the easy ones to spot. Less obvious are the ones wearing the cloak of respectability like scientific extremists. Many times they all share one thing in common – they are the slaves of dogma and see the world only through the blinkers of whatever that dogma happens to be, like for example, the perverse belief that humans are machines, which provides one the of elements that enables genocide, killing in the name of dogma and the common good, and convenience killings – dehumanisation.

The great tragedy is that few will listen and take note of this warning which is one of the reasons why humanity just keeps repeating the same mistakes, over and over again.

Industry does not trust industry

This week I return to the why so smart yet so dumb comment; “we trust industry when it suits us”. I still find it hard to believe that anyone can be so out-of-touch, so silly, so … as to utter such words – well that is scientists for you! The rule of science and reason! God help us, for we will truly need divine help if ever this lunatic fringe gain power. But I digress.

As I write this, I have by my side a letter from a major financial institution, informing me about a change in approach for one of their ethical funds that form part of my pension investments. The announcement is about a tightening and strengthening of their investment criteria. Previously, the principles that have guided the fund have been quite broad (vague), and can be summarised as:

  • Exclude companies that do not meet certain ethical standards or that harm society;
  • Support companies that make a positive contribution to society, and
  • Encourage better business practices through shared ownership and dialogue.

Even in this set of broad criteria one can see a clear recognition that there are companies that harm society and that should not be trusted. And I was very glad to see that in future, a stronger set of principles will be in force, with a clear identification of some of these not to be trusted industries. The new principles are:

  • The exclusion of companies that are involved with the production of tobacco, alcohol, arms, nuclear power, pornography, and gambling, or practices such as unnecessary animal testing, or with unacceptable environmental or corporate standards.
  • Engagement with the management of the companies in which the fund invests to encourage them to adopt corporate, social and environmental policies that meet the fund’s standards.
  • Monitoring the performance of the fund against non-financial goals such as lower carbon emissions, or companies published policies and data on health and safety, diversity, etc.

The message is clear – there are many business sectors and companies that are harmful to society, to people, and to the planet. We should not trust such companies nor, I should add, people who say such stupid things as “we trust industry when it suits us”. Thankfully, some financial institutions realise this, and also recognise the need to steer clear of such sectors and businesses. But this raises the question of who will monitor the financial institution to ensure that they comply? So we are now into the matter of Second Order Cybernetics.

I will be returning to the issue of why we should not trust industry, scientists, technologists, and their representative bodies (e.g. The Royal Society), in due course, as well as addressing the matter of Second Order Cybernetics. Evidently also there are sectors of the economy that are obvious targets for policies based on de-growth, which is also something that I will turn my attention to in the future.

I conclude by saying that it is time to peacefully turn against such industries, to reject them, and to drive them out of business. And as for the scientists who justify and defend them by saying stupid things like “we trust industry when it suits us”: your time is over – you belong in the past, you are the past.

Western Science – The New Colonialism

This week’s blog entry is quite short and is written for the benefit of those in what Europeans call the developing world, or the newly industrialised nations. In particular, the blog is aimed at those in China, India and other non-European cultures, who are, once again, being invaded by Europeans – this time it is European values and beliefs that are the forefront of the take-over.

Do you recall all those enlightened Europeans who turned up on your shores, claiming ownership of your land, taking what did not belong to them, enslaving your people, forcing their culture on you, because they thought themselves, in every way possible, far superior to the indigenous peoples they encountered in this, their quest to make the world European?

Perhaps you think those days are now over? If you do, you are wrong for they are still at it – seeking to make the world European. These are the people who, as I have mentioned before, make a virtue out of living life like a plague of locusts. In the case of some countries, like the UK, these people are the decedents of slave traders, in a metaphorical sense, but they are also, in a metaphorical sense also slaves, being bound to an ideology that they do not even recognise as an ideology – western science. They are what I call free slaves – they are free to think that they are not slaves!

And because they are slaves to a dogma, they have strategic weaknesses which can be exploited to render their ways irrelevant to the future of humanity. What they cannot see and will not tolerate, is the notion that their science is entirely grounded in European culture, and that a different culture, one based on non-Abrahamic worldviews, would produce a different form of science if such a culture were to pursue a path different to that of Europeans (if they were to be allowed to!).

The inability of most European to accept that science is culturally based is grounded in the dogma of the one best way – which is social Darwinism. Countries like China and India should reject this, for it is yet another example of European colonialism, which has in the past, and will continue in the future, to bring great suffering to the peoples of the world. Is it not now time to rid the world of such suffering by rendering Europeans and their strange beliefs irrelevant?

Western science = control, domination, subjugation, sole truths, machine-centric thinking, collective denial and delusion, and all the damage and destruction that goes with these things. It is neo-colonialism. A non-European science = balance, harmony, recognition that in human matters everything is about behaviour which affects perceptions of reality, … The story is just beginning and will be continued in future blogs.

2015 Begins

This week I review that which I plan to cover and to focus on in my blogs during 2015. The overarching theme will be scientists and their collective delusions, the need for controls and to make scientists legally accountable for their work, and the consequences for humanity if we leave science under the control of scientists, which brings me to my first issue.

Coming up very soon is the 70th anniversary of the discovery and liberation by Soviet forces of the Nazi death camp Auschwitz. To remember this “very” European horror story and its roots in Enlightenment and scientific thinking, I will be considering in my blogs how this was not an aberration, but a manifestation of European culture, and part of a long history of crimes against humanity that have been perpetrated by Europeans, not only against other Europeans, but also against non-Europeans. And to remind the complacent who think that this will never happen again in Europe, I will be reminding them that it already has.

Also on my topic list for this year, continuing my scrutiny of European values, I will be considering (what people think of as a Nazi concept of) Untermenschen, and showing that it is part of European culture and that it is still very much alive and well and flourishing in Europe. I will also be returning to the matter of convenience killings which are related to the concept of Untermenschen, and exploring how this links with the scientific mind. I shall also be highlighting the foundations of science, engineering and technology that are closely linked to Untermenschen.

Scientists and their Will to Power, which manifests itself in their quest for control and domination of nature, of humanity and of human societies (through their attempts to establish the rule of science and reason) will also figure in my blogs. And a good dose of ridicule will also appear, for there is often nothing more ridiculous than scientists who think that their self-constructed realities are reality – the word, the image, the theory are not the thing!

The above I will however put into the wider context of the Will to Power, to remind everyone, that regardless of the orientation – religious, secular, intellectual, political, economic – the Will to Power affects most humans, and that consequently we need to construct a different type of society to that which we have today. Hence it is time to start considering how ordinary people can begin peacefully, and with great humanity, to disengage from the unsustainable civilisation in which they find themselves trapped. I will thus be discussing the notion of a syncretic society where scientific, religious, political, economic and other types of Abrahamic extremists will not be able to flourish. And if people want such a world, they should starting building it themselves, for most politicians and their Chief Advisors are not going to be creating for them, for their Will to Power is very much based on maintaining what exists today, and if that is allowed to happen then one day in the not too distance future, we will all have to pay a terrible price for this.

I promised you a storm and now you can see how it will take shape!
